My husband and I live in a 2400 square foot house near Houston, Texas, with our three children and numerous cats and dogs. We are both smokers and frequently smoke inside the house. In addition to the pet dander and tobacco smoke, we have Cottonwood trees near our front door. Because of the asthma caused by the seed pods from the trees, we were considering cutting them down. Obviously, we were all suffering severely with allergies and asthma.

After smoking in my home for more than eight years, and spending most of that time ill, I stopped smoking. But, I was unable to get the tobacco tars that had saturated the carpets, upholstered furniture, and bedding out of the air. In order to supplement my income I had recently taken in boarders. One lady is a chain smoker. Even though she stayed in her room to smoke, the tobacco smoke was once again infiltrating my entire house.

We have had one of the AirClear 500 High Efficiency Filters for several months. We are so pleased with its performance that I just had to write to tell you.
Our two-story house is about 2500 square feet. We have four dogs and lots of colds, sinus congestion, and viruses. We positioned our filter in front of the cold air return to the central air and heat unit.
